Apples

I thought I had posted this, but apparently I had not.  Here are some pictures from our apple unit and Johnny Appleseed's Birthday.  We learned about the parts of apples, where they grow, what apple trees look like during each of the seasons, etc.

We celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday!  We learned who he was and what he did.

 We painted paper plates to make apples after we learned about the parts of an apple

We tasted red, green, and yellow apples.  We learned each one tastes different and we used descriptive words to explain what they tasted like.  Finally, we graphed the one we liked the most.

Thank you parents for providing an item for our apple party! The kiddos had a GREAT time eating and tasting all the various foods!
